Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Tattoo Lettering Generator ("we", "the site") collects and how it is used. The site is operated by an independent developer (sole proprietor). Questions or requests: support@tattooletter.site.
What we collect
Tool input is processed locally. The text you type into the lettering generator is rendered in your browser and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the page you joined from, and the date. We use it for two things only: (1) to notify you when the print-ready export features launch, and (2) to tell you about the launch offer (one free export with a free account). We do not send unrelated marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us — we remove you from the sending list immediately and keep only an anonymized record that you opted out. If you never join the waitlist, we have no way to contact you and store no email for you.
- Abuse prevention. To protect the waitlist form from spam, our server derives a short-lived hashed value from your IP address (a one-way hash that changes daily) and keeps it for at most one hour, solely for rate limiting. We do not store raw IP addresses.
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which styles and features are used. GA4 sets first-party measurement cookies only — no advertising or profiling cookies. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we never send personally identifiable information (your email, your input text, your exports) to analytics. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your email or personal data with third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
- We do not require an account; every free feature works without sign-up.
- We do not collect data from children — this site is not directed to children under 13.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA baseline)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you (currently: your waitlist email, if you joined). Under the CCPA we confirm: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no "Do Not Sell" mechanism is required. To exercise any right, email support@tattooletter.site and we will respond within 30 days.
Third-party services
The site loads self-hosted, openly licensed fonts (SIL Open Font License — no third-party font requests) and Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland/LLC as processor; see Google's privacy policy). No other third parties receive your data.
Account sign-in (via Google) and payment processing (via PayPal) are planned for a later phase. Before any such feature goes live, this policy will be updated with the additional data disclosures — for example the Google account identifier and email used for sign-in, and order information processed by PayPal — and the "last updated" date above will change.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Sign-in, when introduced, will be available only through Google accounts, which Google does not issue to users under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
